IPL

Intense Pulsed Light is used to perform different skin treatments for aesthetic purposes. It targets hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, rosacea, and also helps with broken blood vessels on the nose and other areas of the skin. IPL is a tolerable treatment and can be performed in 30-45 minutes, however, we do recommend 3-4 consecutive treatments to see maximum results. This treatment is  very popular and our clients are loving the results that they have received from it. After treatment you can expect to see your hyperpigmentation/ discoloration turning into what looks like coffee grounds and flaking off, this can happen anywhere from 7-14 days before it will completely flake off. Your skin will have a mild sunburn feel and will be red for a few days post treatment.

Patients should not be treated with the following:

- Active cold sores or warts

- Open wounds or lesions

- Sunburn or exposed to sun exposure within the last 14 days

- Excessively sensitive skin

- Dermatitis, Psoriasis, or Eczema

- Untreated skin cancer

- Permanent make up

- Rashes or allergies

- Accutane use within the last 12 months

- Radiation or chemotherapy

- Pregnant or breastfeeding

Two weeks prior to this treatment you should avoid:

- Electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams

- Laser or IPL treatments

- Chemical peel or microdermabrasion treatment

- Retin A

- Products that contain retinol, AHA, BHA, or benzoyl peroxide

- Exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating

- Sun exposure or sun burn

- Sunless tanning
